See, I went to Costco, and I knew I needed stamps (wedding coming up, thank you notes), so I grabbed a package off the display and put it in my cart.  I also bought 500 envelopes and some paper.  Mail merge is the way to be.  Anyway, when I got to the teller she took the stamp package and gave me a roll of stamps.  "Oh, right," I thought to myself, "That's how bulk stamps come."  I thought little more about it until I got home.  Then I needed to use some of the stamps.  I then thought "Hmm.  I don't want to open that lest it unspring on me and I have a long ribbon of stamps-by-the-foot."

I was stymied.

Then inspiration hit.  I would simply make a stamp holder!  I had seen them around, they were simple devices, I had some lumber, and hey, presto, two and a half hours of work yielded this!

I will admit that I modeled it in Solidworks first.  But I am not ashamed of drafting software.

Nah, just timestamped.  And it was sitting on top of the completed shelves.  My desk is on them as I type.  Hooray for redwood!
