NPR had a great story (if you have time to click, listen, don't read) on Tuesday morning about love songs and the difficulty of creating a wedding mix CD.  I won't restate what Stephen Thompson had to say.  His version was better than any paraphrase I might create.  Essentially, he considers that 1) it is difficult to find songs about enduring happiness and 2) even those that are in that vein are "still searching for happiness, or dwelling on mistakes made along the way."  He asks, "With all the songs at my disposal, couldn't I find 16 that don't make people want to hang themselves?"

Why was his task so difficult?  I think the answer lies in Genesis 3:16.  But we have verse 15, too.
